Tips for better Sleep | May 01st 2009

Ok, so I have this problem where I wake up at around 4 am every morning and can not get back to sleep. To top it off, I bet the 5 hours of “sleep” I get before that only really amount to 2.5 hours in between tossing and turning and getting to cold or too hot.

I have had this issue for awhile, with random week long stretches of peaceful sleeps placed through out the year. Im pretty opposed to taking sleeping pills, but Im so tired of this…no pun intended.

So I did some research. And I found out that the top 5 reasons for bad sleeps are : Stress, Multi-tasking, Diet, Lack of Exercise, and an Uncomfortable Bedroom.

Interesting…I think all of the above apply.

Aside from altering my diet, de-stressing, tossing the lap-top out of the bedroom and getting more exercise, I found a few more interesting and creative techniques.

  • Aromatherapy
  • Dust
  • Sex
  • Cotton
  • Electro-magnetic fields
  • Eye masks
  • Journal
  • Breathing exercises

So there you go. Try them and let me know.
